Updating as we go!!
Well, I am back at it again... or at least I am trying. Here it is Monday, June 7, 2004.
I am sitting here working out how and what I want to add to these pages. I got some pictures from my oldest brother in law, Ron , to add to the sight. I am going to get them up and on these pages one way or the other. By hook or by crook as the saying goes.
The Alumni banquet and meeting was this past Saturday at the Camillus Elks Club. Talk about a full house. I think that this was the largest group I can remember and I have been going to them with Gary for ,let's just say..more that 10 but less than 35 ;-) years. Last time I tried to count I came up with 169 people. I want to Thank everyone that showed up and helped to make this a special time for all of us.
There was even a very nice showing from the past students from Elbridge High School. I hope there are more people there next year.
Our oldest classmate for this year was Mrs. Dean. She was there with a few ladies to "keep her inline" so she behaved. LOL She is a dear woman and in every way a lady. Thank you for being there.
After a fine meal the past minutes were read and the treasurer gave her report. Roll call was taken and anyone that wanted to say a few words did so when their class was called. Mike Cole, Class of 54' Elbridge High made it home from Florida to pass a word or two along and to wish his Mom, who was there also, a Happy Birthday (June 28) and Ron Polmanteer, Class of 54' Jordan High asked for a moment of silence for all those who have "crossed over the rainbow bridge" and couldn't be with us, no matter the year or school. Ron also wished his Mom, who was also with us, a Happy Birthday (June 1). To anyone else who has or had a birthday HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! to you all. Bob Gamar, also from the Class of 54' gave a reading of a "notebook" that was put together for their class. Bill Crowfoot and Nancy (Hurd) Weslowski (both from the Class of 59' )shared some of their thoughts with us. As the roll was called and it got more up to date for some reason there were less people. There was 2 from the Class of 74'. Myself and Bob Evens and there was 1 person from the Class of 87'.
NEXT YEARS BANQUET WILL BE JUNE 4, 2005 AT THE CAMILLUS ELKS CLUB!!! Won't you join us in the fun. Keep an eye open for pictures new and old. If you have any you would like to share please do. I promise to return them and give you credit for the information.
Love to all from Gary and Patty
