OUR SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Here we will try to post information on each of the scholarship winners from each year. The winners for the school year 2006-2007  were...Ashley Jaton...Alicia Williams...Shane Barrett...John Wilson...Nicholas Chartrand and Kyle Merrill.

    Ashley is an only child living with her Dad and Grandmother. She has several animals and enjoys  playing tennis. She has been to Spain on the Foreign Exchange Student Program. She enjoyed her time there and would like to return to see her host family again some day. Her favorite subject in school is math and loves to tinker around with things. She will be going to Rochester Institute of Technology this year to pursue a degree in this field. She will major in Mechanical Engineering Technology.

    Alicia plans on attending Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in January 2008. She has hopes of being able to save money for school from a job this summer. After finishing her courses in collage she hopes to either own her own massage business or be working for a spa.

    Shane plans on majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife at SUNY Cobleskill in the fall of 2007.He loves hunting and fishing and being outdoors. His family owns a farm in Marcellus and hopes to put his new skills to practice there. He is glad to have this chance to pursue his dream of becoming a Game Warden.

    John will also be going to the Rochester Institute of Technology in the fall. John enjoys playing several different positions in baseball. He is hard working and steadfast when given a task or problem. He will give his all to make us proud for giving him this scholarship.

    Nicholas  has attended Jordan-Elbridge schools for all his life. He has enjoyed playing on the baseball and basketball teams for the last four years. He will be attending O.C.C. and will be majoring in Physical Education.

                                        And that brings us to....

    Kyle has set high standards for himself. He will be going to Keuka College and majoring in the field of psychology. He wants to apply his degree from there to working with juvenile delinquents in helping them get their lives back on the right track. He also has plans to pursue a masters degree related to this field.

    WE the ALUMNUS of JORDAN - ELBRIDGE ALUMNI are already proud of all our fellow students and new alumni members.  We wish all the best to the winners of the scholarships and hope that the class of 2006-2007 will join us in our yearly meeting and fellowship banquet.
